Silence 1-3/5"
The Object "Silence" is a study in tranquility and composition. In contrast to the chaotic energy of a wild reef, this piece captures the stillness of a quiet garden. The sphere features a lush, suspended bouquet anchored by large, white chrysanthemum-like blooms with golden centers. These primary flowers are surrounded by delicate drifts of violet and periwinkle blossoms, all interconnected by slender green stems. The palette is intentionally soft and muted, allowing the optical clarity of the glass to create a sense of negative space around the flowers. It feels less like an object and more like a frozen moment of calm.
The Artist Elena Hernburg is a distinguished glass artist living and working in Cetinje, Montenegro. While many artists focus on scale, Hernburg’s focus is on the intimacy of the object—creating intricate beads, pendants, and marbles defined by rich, finely detailed compositions. Her work is the result of years of refinement; every element is crafted by hand using proprietary lampwork techniques she has developed specifically to achieve superior clarity and depth. The result is a body of work that balances technical mastery with a touch of wonder.
